Ptimo, a model kit brand under the Japanese company FUJIMI, has released a new Rilakkuma-themed product: the "Ptimo602 Rilakkuma & Chick Special Animation Packaging Edition" model kit. The suggested retail price is 3,960 yen, and it is scheduled to be released on July 29, 2026.
Rilakkuma and Rilakkuma are popular, heartwarming characters from the Japanese stationery company San-X. Rilakkuma is a brown teddy bear that suddenly appears in the home of office lady Kaoru; he loves to relax, eat pancakes, and has a zipper on his back. Rilakkuma, on the other hand, is a smart, hardworking, and responsible yellow chick who already lives in Kaoru's house. The new animated series "Rilakkuma" premiered last week, so everyone can once again enjoy Rilakkuma's adorable charm!
This new anime-themed edition is being released to coincide with the new anime series. The figures appear to be the same as the 2018 version , with finished heights of approximately 14.5 cm and 5.5 cm respectively. Ball joints allow for articulation of the head, hands, and feet, enabling various adorable poses! The figures use a snap-fit design, requiring no glue or scissors, making it easy for even beginners with no assembly experience to complete! The stickers include details such as the palms, soles of the feet, and a zipper on the back.
