T-SPARK, a high-end toy brand under the Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY, has announced that the latest addition to its 1/100 scale 'REALIZE MODEL' series of action figures, "RMZ-022 Murasame Longtooth Lion," based on the anime 'ZOIDS Genesis,' will be available for pre-order in May 2026. It is scheduled for release in late December 2026.
The protagonist Luigi Farmieren's personal mecha, the "Murasame Longfang Lion," is a lion-shaped ZOIDS unearthed from the seabed near Melodu Village. Featuring an ultra-lightweight design, it boasts incredible maneuverability with a top speed of 310 km/h, and is equipped with the "Murasame Greatsword" on its back, capable of cleaving various objects in two. Furthermore, the Murasame Longfang Lion possesses a hidden super-technology called "EVOLUT," which allows it to instantly change its form in response to the pilot's will. It can transform into forms such as "Gale Longfang Lion" and "Infinite Longfang Lion," and can even regenerate its body along with its core, as long as the cockpit remains intact.
The "RMZ-022 Murasame Long-Toothed Lion" uses a variety of molded parts to recreate the color scheme of the anime version. The overall design is redesigned with reference to various media works and toy products, achieving a balance between power and speed. It also features flexible articulated joints and various mechanisms that reproduce the anime's settings. The body parts combine multi-axis articulation, ball joints, and pull-out joints, allowing for play with highly lifelike running, jumping, and roaring poses. The limbs can also express flexible V-shaped and reverse V-shaped standing postures, and the feet have three articulated joints for stable grounding.
The weaponry features a cannon recreated on the chest and other areas, along with the signature "Murasame Greatsword" mounted on the back. The Greatsword can be rotated in multiple directions—up, left, right, and forward—via the movable stand on the base and the semi-circular sliding rail at the waist, allowing for a powerful combat stance. The sword parts can also be detached for individual display. Additionally, a scaled-down pilot figure is included, with the head cockpit canopy opened to accommodate it.
