Kotobukiya, the Japanese toy company behind the Mega Man X series, has announced its latest addition: the Sigma Mega Man X Ver. model kit. The suggested retail price is 17,050 yen, and it is scheduled for release in June 2026.
Sigma (シグマ/Σ), a major villain in the Mega Man X series , is hailed as Dr. Kane's greatest masterpiece. Created with the finest chips and programming, he possesses exceptional intelligence and formidable combat abilities, admired by many robots. After coming into contact with the Unorthodox Virus, he rebelled against humanity, becoming the first leader of the Unorthodox Hunters.
The Sigma Mega Man X Ver. , appearing for the first time as an assembly model , is based on the game's design and perfectly recreates his appearance in Mega Man X. It adopts CAD design that thoroughly pursues proportions, achieving excellent articulation and precise modeling, giving it a high range of motion. Multi-colored molded parts reproduce the various colors of the armor, and some parts are pre-painted, so you can highly reproduce the imposing and domineering appearance by simply assembling it.
In addition, it comes with a wealth of interchangeable parts, including three facial expressions: a normal face, a smiling face, and a clenched-teeth face. Hand gestures include a clenched hand, an open hand (A), an open hand (B), and a weapon-wielding hand. Combined with interchangeable cape parts and two different lightsabers, you can enjoy playing in various different scenarios. The packaging also features original illustrations drawn by Keisuke Mizuno, the original artist who designed many characters for the Mega Man X series!
