BANDAI SPIRITS' collectible toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS , has announced a new product in its "ROBOT Spirits" series of posable robot figures : the "ROBOT Spirits (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam/Penarop Dedicated Sensor Missile Expansion Parts Set," based on the animated film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash." The set is scheduled for release in August 2026.
The sensor-guided missile is a brainwave-guided weapon system installed on multiple inner armor plates of mobile suits such as the "RX-105 Ξ Gundam" and "RX-104FF Penalope" in the series. Since radar-guided missiles are almost ineffective in the Minovsky dispersion environment, and "sensor cannons" cannot be used in Earth's gravity environment, sensor-guided missiles were developed to solve these problems. Through the brainwave control abilities of Newtype pilots, sensor-guided missiles can lock onto, track, and bombard targets.
The "ROBOT Spirits (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam/Penarop Dedicated Sensor Missile Expansion Parts Set" includes 12 sets of sensor missile bodies, launch trajectory effect parts, and a white molded dedicated stand. By attaching the effect tail to the stand, it can be mounted on the separately sold "ROBOT Spirits (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam/Penarop" display stand to showcase the powerful scene of the sensor missile launch.
